DANCE TIPS AND SUGGESTIONS FOR THE BRIDE & GROOM

Brides and Grooms-to-be: here, find some helpful dance tips and suggestions to help prepare you for your WEDDING DANCE, and to ensure your first dance as husband and wife will be memorable-not only for you, but for your guests and family as well.

SELECT A SONG - Visit our studio and see our unique wedding song list! Choose a song that you enjoy and that feels special to you. It should have an easy beat that you feel comfortable with and enjoy moving to. If you'd like a slow dance, try a Foxtrot or a Waltz. If you're looking for an upbeat feel, you might choose Swing, Salsa-even Tango! If you're not sure where to begin, or would like some suggestions, talk with one of our dance instructors. They'll be more than happy to help you select the right style.

ONCE YOU'VE DECIDED - One of our professional dance instructors will take the time to work with you and create something original. Your dance could be whatever you choose! Looking for something classic? We'll find the right balance of traditional choreography and flair to create a timeless dance. Feeling something more theatrical? Your teacher will create something fun and unique that shows off your individual personality. Whatever your style, you'll have a dance that truly celebrates the event.

PRACTICE YOUR DANCE - Enjoy the process as much as the final event! Get comfortable with the steps, timing, and rhythm of your song. Visit our studio as often as you'd like to polish and practice your moves! Our sound system is easy to access and offers lots of options. We offer such a broad selection of music to practice to, you'll never find yourself bored of the song collection.

Maybe this is a chance for you to step a little outside of your comfort zone. Maybe, you've entertained the thought of performing at your wedding, or just showing off with a few special moves. Either way, the preparation should be just as fun as the event itself-and at Dance Fever Studio, it will be. With the help of our experienced instructors, you'll be thrilled that you went for it!

And, who knows? Chances are, you'll find yourself wanting to keep dancing long after the wedding day is over!

About Dance Fever Studio

Have you ever watched the show "Dancing with the Stars" and toyed with the idea of taking dance lessons? Most competitors are able to learn moves and perform routines only after a couple of lessons. They look confident, gracious and adventurous when they glide with their partners on live television. Even though many of the stars are athletes or actors it is the competitive instruction that makes all the difference. Talented professionals teach the fundamentals of dance and choreograph routines that are easy to perform and entertaining to watch. When it comes to learning steps, choreographing dance routines, preparing couples for wedding dance, practicing or creating shows Dance Fever Studio is your choice.

Dance Fever Studio is the largest dance studio in the United States. Emil and Ruta Ioukhnikov formerly from Lithuania opened the studio eight years ago. During their teaching career in Lithuania, Israel and now the United States they brought up several generations of professional, social dancers and enthusiasts. They created shows and wedding dances for hundreds of people.

Dance Fever Studio offers competitive and social classes to more than 400 students. The coach team includes seventeen national and international champions from Israel, Russia, Ukraine, Canada and Serbia. Furthermore, standard and Latin champions and finalists, such as Ronen Zinshtein and Mariam Izmaylova (USA), Michael Wentink ( South Africa), Beata Onefater (USA), Maksim Kozhevnikov (USA), Elena Kryuchkova (USA), Jean-Marc Genereux (Canada), Dennis Kasper and Maria Bakumets ( Russia), Ksenia Kasper and Markus Homm ( Germany); visit the studio regularly to provide lessons and seminars to students.

Children as young as four attend group and private lessons, participate in shows and enter competitions. Not only do parents and teachers observe students' improved mental and physical health but they also notice social and emotional benefits of dance instruction. Dancing requires dedication, discipline and practice. Research suggests that dancing improves confidence, social skills and focus. Our students display confidence and cooperation, hard work and dedication.

Dance Fever offers recreational and competitive programs for dancers. While recreational program focuses on choreography and routines that are performed in shows, the competitive program concentrates on technique. Students who are enrolled in the competitive program learn not only fundamentals of dancing as well as develop mind body philosophy that aids them in training.

Many young dancers represent Dance Fever in state, regional, national and international competitions. In 2008 two youth couples Joseph Odikadze and Dasha Kholodenko and Phillip Kudryavtsev and Jessica Shrayber represented the USA National Junior Team at the World Championship in Black pool, England. Many Dance Fever students each year place at the Brown University Competitions, Eastern Dance sport Championship, Yankee Classics, MIT Ballroom Competition, Harvard Invitational, Tristate Challenge, Regional's and Nationals competitions.

There are many opportunities for adults to learn and practice dance at the studio. Group and individual classes at different levels from beginners to advanced help students learn a variety of styles, from Latin and standard to smooth and rhythm. Studio offers ballet, work out, stretching and Latin aerobics classes as well. Many couples choose Dance Fever Studio to choreograph and practice their wedding dance. Parents and friends, bridesmaids and relatives prepare dance routines to congratulate couples and celebrate weddings. Sometimes they choose to continue dance instruction to dance socially. Dance Fever offers monthly practice sessions where all dancers are encouraged to practice their routines and socialize. Many enthusiastic adult dancers enter and place in regional and national competitions.

Dance Fever students and coaches frequently appear in the dance documentaries on the Channel 5. The coaching team provides classes to students in private and public school setting. Emil and Ruta Ioukhnikov strongly believe in benefits of ballroom dance instruction and enthusiastically share their knowledge with students and teachers. Their professionalism, expertise and dedication impress enthusiasts and parents.
